A major cycle of third-density experience — on Earth roughly 25,000 years, three of which make up the full opportunity before harvest.

What Ra means

Ra uses "major cycle" as the technical term for what the text also calls a great cycle: a span of roughly 25,000 years during which the entities of a third-density planet have the opportunity to polarize and be harvested (6.15). Earth has been allotted three such cycles — approximately 75,000 years in total — before the gateway to fourth density closes for this planet regardless of who is ready (6.15).

The timing of each cycle is not arbitrary but is set by intelligent energy itself, flowing through the creation like a clock. Each planet begins its first cycle when conditions can support mind/body experience; after that, the gateway between intelligent energy and intelligent infinity opens on schedule, regardless of the state of the entities within it (9.4). Harvest is not delayed because the planet waits — it occurs when the cycle completes.

On Earth, the pattern of three cycles has already played out once before reaching this final transition. The typical pattern across the universe, Ra says, is a small harvest at the end of the first cycle, a larger one at the end of the second as more entities have polarized, and a full culmination at the third (20.27). Earth's cycles were disrupted: the second cycle ended with harvestable entities present but no harvest taken (14.17), and the planet's vibrations by that second major cycle had shortened the life span dramatically (20.13).

In Ra's words

The duration of each major cycle, and the three-cycle span before final harvest:

One major cycle is approximately twenty-five thousand [25,000] of your years. There are three cycles of this nature during which those who have progressed may be harvested. At the end of three major cycles—that is, approximately between seventy-five and seventy-six thousand [75–76,000] of your years—all are harvested regardless of their progress, for during that time the planet itself has moved through the useful part of that dimension and begins to cease being useful for the lower levels of vibration within that density.

The gateway opening by intelligent energy on a precise schedule — the harvest clock:

The living flow creates a rhythm which is as inevitable as one of your timepieces. Each of your planetary entities began the first cycle when the energy nexus was able in that environment to support such mind/body experiences. Thus, each of your planetary entities is on a different cyclical schedule, as you might call it. The timing of these cycles is a measurement equal to a portion of intelligent energy.

This intelligent energy offers a type of clock. The cycles move as precisely as a clock strikes your hour. Thus, the gateway from intelligent energy to intelligent infinity opens regardless of circumstance on the striking of the hour.

Let us untangle your assumption which is complex and correct in part.

The original desire is that entities seek and become one. If entities can do this in a moment, they may go forward in a moment; and thus were this to occur in a major cycle, indeed the third-density planet would be vacated at the end of that cycle.

It is, however, more toward the median, or mean, shall we say, of third-density developments throughout the one infinite universe that there be a small harvest after the first cycle; the remainder having significantly polarized, the second cycle having a much larger harvest; the remainder being even more significantly polarized, the third cycle culminating the process and the harvest being completed.
