A being of a higher density who chooses to incarnate in third density to be of service, accepting the hazard of the forgetting.
What Ra means
Wanderers are fourth-, fifth-, or sixth-density entities who voluntarily enter third-density incarnation. The largest number come from sixth density, Ra notes, because reaching the necessary purity of the desire to serve requires what might be called bravery or even foolhardiness (). Most are positively oriented; fifth-density negative wanderers are very rare because entities at that density fear the forgetting ().
The aim Ra describes for wanderers is twofold and general rather than specific: to serve entities of the planet in whatever way is requested, and to lighten the planetary vibration as a whole by the presence of their love and light (). Each wanderer also brings pre-incarnative talents of its own: those of fifth density have great abilities to express wisdom, while fourth- and sixth-density wanderers serve as immense passive radiators of love and love/light — a third function unique to each individual, beyond doubling planetary love and serving as beacon or shepherd (). Specific pre-planned outcomes are not the aim; light and love follow calling rather than agenda ().
The hazard is real. Once incarnate, the wanderer is subject to all the conditions of third density in mind and body, with only the spirit retaining a kind of armor — an inclination toward recognition of what is not in accord with its deeper nature (). Should the wanderer penetrate the forgetting, the intensive catalyst of third density polarizes it with far greater efficiency than the more harmonious conditions of its home density, so its own evolution also accelerates (). Failure to penetrate the forgetting means risking karmic involvement and being drawn into the very confusion the wanderer came to help resolve ().

On the voluntary choice and its double benefit — service to the planet and acceleration of the wanderer's own evolution:
The wanderer has the potential of greatly accelerating the density whence it comes in its progress in evolution. This is due to the intensive life experiences and opportunities of the third density. Thusly the positively oriented wanderer chooses to hazard the danger of the forgetting in order to be of service to others by radiating love of others. If the forgetting is penetrated the amount of catalyst in third density will polarize the wanderer with much greater efficiency than shall be expected in the higher and more harmonious densities.
Similarly, the negatively oriented wanderer dares to hazard the forgetting in order that it might accelerate its progress in evolution in its own density by serving itself in third density, by offering to other-selves the opportunity to hear the information having to do with negative polarization.
On the array of pre-incarnative talents each wanderer brings, and the three basic functions once the forgetting is penetrated:
You may at this time note that as with any entities, each wanderer has its unique abilities, biases, and specialties, so that from each portion of each density represented among the wanderers comes an array of pre-incarnative talents which then may be expressed upon this plane which you now experience; so that each wanderer, in offering itself before incarnation, has some special service to offer in addition to the doubling effect of planetary love and light and the basic function of serving as beacon or shepherd.
Thus there are those of fifth density whose abilities to express wisdom are great. There are fourth- and sixth-density wanderers whose ability to serve as, shall we say, passive radiators or broadcasters of love and love/light are immense. There are many others whose talents brought into this density are quite varied.
Thus wanderers have three basic functions once the forgetting is penetrated, the first two being basic, the tertiary one being unique to that particular mind/body/spirit complex.
