Mind complex
The "mind" facet of a mind/body/spirit complex — the seat of will, intuition, and rational analysis, structured at depth by the archetypal mind.
What Ra means
The mind complex is neither simply the brain nor consciousness in an abstract sense — it is the whole mental facet of the entity, from the surface of rational thought down to the deepest layers of the archetypal mind. Catalyst is sorted by which facet of the complex receives it: catalyst processed by the mind is catalyst for the mind, distinct from that which touches body or spirit (). This sorting is not automatic; the mind must develop the discipline to work with what it receives.
A central tension within the mind complex is between its intuitive and rational modes. Ra holds that the entity ruled by intuition and impulse is equal to the entity governed by rational analysis when polarity is considered — while noting that those whose analytical capacities predominate have somewhat more to work with in polarizing (). What matters is that both faculties operate in balance: when the rational mind does not accept the worth of the intuitive faculty, the creative aspects that aid illumination are stifled (). The mind complex denied one of its own faculties becomes less able to use catalyst fully.
The veil — the forgetting imposed at third density — transformed what the mind complex is capable of. Before the veil, all facets of the Creator were available to mind; after it, almost nothing was consciously accessible (). This loss, Ra says, is also the gift: from that buried territory arise the significant faculties of envisioning, dreaming, and most decisively pure will or desire — tools that did not matter before the veil but are now what evolution turns on (). The deep structure of the mind complex, below the veil, is organized by the archetypal mind, which provides the architecture rather than a plan for evolution ().

The mind complex as one facet receiving its own catalyst, while intuition and reason must be held in balance:

The function of intuition is to inform intelligence. In your illusion the unbridled predominance of intuition will tend to keep an entity from the greater polarizations due to the vagaries of intuitive perception. As you may see, these two types of brain structure need to be balanced in order that the net sum of experiential catalyst will be polarization and illumination, for without the acceptance by the rational mind of the worth of the intuitive faculty, the creative aspects which aid in illumination will be stifled.
The mind's most significant faculties emerged precisely from what the veil concealed:
The primary veiling was of such significance that it may be seen to be analogous to the mantling of the earth over all the jewels within the earth’s crust; whereas previously all facets of the Creator were consciously known. After the veiling, almost no facets of the Creator were known to the mind. Almost all was buried beneath the veil.
If one were to attempt to list those functions of mind most significant in that they might be of aid in polarization, one would need to begin with the faculty of visioning, envisioning, or far-seeing.
The heart of the mind complex is dynamic, seeking, and receptive — not fixed:
