Energy Centers & Healing

Seven ray-centers channel the one infinite energy; healing is the unblocking of that flow, and love its open heart.

The self is a seven-colored channel for the Creator's light, and healing is helping it flow freely.

In plain language

Ra describes the incarnate self as a column of seven energy centers — one for each color from red to violet — through which the light of the Creator streams upward through the body. Each center governs a distinct domain of experience: survival, self-with-others, self-in-groups, universal love, communication, the gateway to the adept's work, and finally the violet center that registers the whole entity without itself being subject to balancing ().

Any center can become blocked, and most spiritual work is the patient business of clearing and balancing them in order from the foundation up. Ra is specific about what outranks what: not the raw brilliance of any individual center, but the balance visible in the violet-ray summation of the whole self. An entity may concentrate intense will on a single center and make it brilliant while remaining sharply unbalanced overall — and that imbalance, not the brightness, determines harvestability ().

Healing follows the same logic. The healer does not produce the cure; the healer opens a channel. The entity being healed must realize within itself that there is no disharmony — and when that realization lands, intelligent infinity re-forms the illusion of body, mind, or spirit toward the Law of One ().

The seven centers

Ra's foundational description walks through the centers in order (). The red-ray center governs survival and the reproductive basis of incarnate life — the foundation that must be accepted before anything above it can be properly addressed. The orange-ray center is the self in relation to individual others, and blockages there appear as personal eccentricities or distortions around self-acceptance. The yellow-ray center is the self in groups — family, society, power structures — and blockages here manifest as distortions toward power manipulation. Those with ongoing blockages in these first three will have continuing difficulties in further seeking ().

The green-ray center is the heart: the center from which third-density beings may springboard toward infinite intelligence, and blockage there appears as difficulty expressing universal love or compassion. The blue-ray center is the first that is outgoing as well as receiving — communication, expression of understanding of self, openness to others' communication. The indigo-ray center is the gateway of the adept, receiving the least distorted outpourings of love/light from intelligent energy and holding the key to the gateway of intelligent infinity. Finally, the violet-ray center is simply the total expression of the entity's vibratory complex of mind, body, and spirit — a level at which balanced or imbalanced has no meaning, for it gives and takes in its own balance and cannot be manipulated as the others can ().

Crystallization and balance over brilliance

As an entity's will works to purify each center, the centers spin faster and grow brighter — but they also, in more developed entities, take on stable crystalline structures, each geometrically distinct (). The decisive priority is balance, not brilliance. Ra makes this plain: entities may have extremely bright centers while being quite unbalanced in their violet-ray aspect, and those unbalanced entities cannot sustain the impact of the love and light of intelligent infinity to the extent necessary for harvest ().

The path Ra recommends is the unstudied, spontaneous, and honest response toward experiences — which means meeting life fully rather than filtering it — and then applying the balancing exercises afterward (). Forced development that skips this honest processing produces brilliance without foundation.

Kundalini as meeting-place, not technique

Ra accepts the image of the coiled serpent rising but warns that great misapprehensions surround both the metaphor and the goal it points toward (). The actual dynamic involves two energy streams: experiential energy drawn upward from the south pole of the body, and the Creator's energy waiting at the crown. As an entity seats each experience — first in red ray, then orange, then progressively through all the centers — the meeting-place of these two streams rises. As self-acceptance and awareness of catalyst grow, the location of comfortable seating of experiences will rise accordingly (). The serpent's height is a fruit of that seating, not something achievable by forcing the ascent.

The healer's role

Ra's corrective on healing is precise: the healer does not heal (). The crystallized healer functions as a channel for intelligent energy, offering an opportunity to an entity that it might heal itself — and Ra insists there is no other description of healing (). The cure comes from within the one who is ill, when that entity realizes — deep within itself — that there is no fundamental disharmony ().

This framing carries practical weight: healers who mistakenly believe they are causing healing bear a misconceived burden. Ra also specifies that a healer must never approach someone whose request for aid has not come to it (), and that the one who asks to learn healing takes on a real honor/duty in doing so — responsibility for the asking/receiving process ().

In Ra's words

The green-ray center as the springboard toward infinite intelligence, and the indigo-ray's unique position:

The center of heart, or green ray, is the center from which third-density beings may springboard, shall we say, towards infinite intelligence. Blockages in this area may manifest as difficulties in expressing what you may call universal love, or compassion.

The blue-ray center of energy streaming is the center which, for the first time, is outgoing as well as inpouring. Those blocked in this area may have difficulty in grasping the spirit/mind complexes of its own entity, and further difficulty in expressing such understandings of self. Entities blocked in this area may have difficulties in accepting communication from other mind/body/spirit complexes.

The next center is the pineal, or indigo-ray, center. Those blocked in this center may experience a lessening of the influx of intelligent energy due to manifestations which appear as unworthiness. This is that of which you spoke. As you can see, this is but one of many distortions due to the several points of energy influx into the mind/body/spirit complex.

The indigo-ray balancing is quite central to the type of work which revolves about the spirit complex (which has its influx then into the transformation, or transmutation, of third density to fourth density), it being the energy center receiving the least distorted outpourings of love/light from intelligent energy and having also the potential for the key to the gateway of intelligent infinity.

On the priority of balance over brilliance in determining harvestability:

Thusly, entities may have extremely brilliant energy centers while being quite unbalanced in their violet-ray aspect due to lack of attention paid to the totality of experience of the entity.

The key to balance may then be seen in the unstudied, spontaneous, and honest response of entities toward experiences, thus using experience to the utmost, then applying the balancing exercises and achieving the proper attitude for the most purified spectrum of energy center manifestation in violet ray.

This is why the brilliance, or rotational speed, of the energy centers is not considered above the balanced aspect, or violet-ray manifestation, of an entity in regarding harvestability; for those entities which are unbalanced, especially as to the primary rays, will not be capable of sustaining the impact of the love and light of intelligent infinity to the extent necessary for harvest.

The corrective on what healing actually is:

The healer does not heal. The crystallized healer is a channel for intelligent energy which offers an opportunity to an entity that it might heal itself.

In no case is there an other description of healing. Therefore, there is no difference as long as the healer never approaches one whose request for aid has not come to it previously. This is also true of the more conventional healers of your culture, and if these healers could but fully realize that they are responsible only for offering the opportunity of healing, and not for the healing, many of these entities would feel an enormous load of misconceived responsibility fall from them.

In Ra's words — Healing

Ra's account of healing turns on a structural paradox: the healer does not heal (). What healing actually is, according to Ra, is a mind/body/spirit complex realizing at depth that no disharmony exists — that all is already whole — and thereby reforming its own illusion of body or mind to match that realization (). The healer's role is to be a clear channel, approach only those who have asked, hold no attachment to outcome, and carry no will of its own (, ). The mechanics cross dimensions: healing is adopted in time/space by the etheric body, then projected into space/time by the entity's own will (). That capacity is available to any entity in any moment through love and directed will, though to become a healer by nature requires training the personality (). Ra outlines that training as threefold — knowing the mind, disciplining the body, then touching intelligent infinity through the spirit (, ) — and describes what the crystallized, polarized healer does in practice with a crystal as instrument (). Underlying the whole is Ra's reminder that healing is only one distortion of the Law of One: the disciplines of understanding matter more than any demonstration of ability ().

The passages

— Healing as realization of the Law of One

One of the primal distortions of the Law of One is that of healing. Healing occurs when a mind/body/spirit complex realizes, deep within itself, the Law of One; that is, that there is no disharmony, no imperfection; that all is complete and whole and perfect. Thus, the intelligent infinity within this mind/body/spirit complex re-forms the illusion of body, mind, or spirit to a form congruent with the Law of One. The healer acts as energizer or catalyst for this completely individual process.

— The healer does not heal

The healer does not heal. The crystallized healer is a channel for intelligent energy which offers an opportunity to an entity that it might heal itself.

In no case is there an other description of healing. Therefore, there is no difference as long as the healer never approaches one whose request for aid has not come to it previously. This is also true of the more conventional healers of your culture, and if these healers could but fully realize that they are responsible only for offering the opportunity of healing, and not for the healing, many of these entities would feel an enormous load of misconceived responsibility fall from them.

— The crystallized healer holds no will

To specifically answer your query, the crystallized healer has no will. It offers an opportunity without attachment to the outcome, for it is aware that all is one, and that the Creator is knowing Itself.

— Healing is adopted in time/space, then given to space/time

Healing is done in the time/space portion of the mind/body/spirit complex, is adopted by the form-making, or etheric, body and is then given to the space/time physical illusion for use in the activated yellow-ray mind/body/spirit complex. It is the adoption of the configuration which you call health by the etheric body in time/space which is the key to what you call health, not any event which occurs in space/time.

In this process you may see the transdimensional aspect of what you call will, for it is the will, the seeking, the desire of the entity which causes the indigo body to use the novel configuration and to reform the body which exists in space/time. This is done in an instant and may be said to operate without regard to time.

— Momentary healers and the deeper training

Any entity may, at any time, instantaneously clear and balance its energy centers. Thus in many cases those normally quite blocked, weakened, and distorted may, through love and strength of will, become healers momentarily. To be a healer by nature one must indeed train its self in the disciplines of the personality.

— The threefold training of the healer

Firstly, the mind must be known to itself. This is perhaps the most demanding part of healing work. If the mind knows itself then the most important aspect of healing has occurred, for consciousness is the microcosm of the Law of One.

The second part has to do with the disciplines of the body complexes. In the streamings reaching your planet at this time, these understandings and disciplines have to do with the balance between love and wisdom in the use of the body in its natural functions.

The third area is the spiritual, and in this area the first two disciplines are connected through the attainment of contact with intelligent infinity.

— The first mental discipline: silence, balance, acceptance

The prerequisite of mental work is the ability to retain silence of self at a steady state when required by the self. The mind must be opened like a door. The key is silence.

Within the door lies an hierarchical construction you may liken unto geography and in some ways geometry, for the hierarchy is quite regular, bearing inner relationships.

To begin to master the concept of mental discipline it is necessary to examine the self. The polarity of your dimension must be internalized. Where you find patience within your mind you must consciously find the corresponding impatience and vice versa. Each thought that a being has, has in its turn an antithesis. The disciplines of the mind involve, first of all, identifying both those things of which you approve and those things of which you disapprove within yourself, and then balancing each and every positive and negative charge with its equal. The mind contains all things. Therefore, you must discover this completeness within yourself.

The second mental discipline is acceptance of the completeness within your consciousness. It is not for a being of polarity in the physical consciousness to pick and choose among attributes, thus building the roles that cause blockages and confusions in the already-distorted mind complex. Each acceptance smooths part of the many distortions that the faculty you call judgment engenders.

— Crystal healing: polarization, channeling, the entity's armor

You first, as a mind/body/spirit complex, balance and polarize the self, connecting the inner light with the upward spiraling inpourings of the universal light. You have done exercises to regularize the processes involved. Look to them for the preparation of the crystallized being.

Take, then, the crystal, and feel your polarized and potentiated, balanced energy channeled in green-ray healing through your being, going into and activating the crystalline regularity of frozen light, which is the crystal. The crystal will resound with the charged light of incarnative love and light energy and will begin to radiate in specified fashion, beaming, in required light vibrations, healing energy, focused and intensified towards the magnetic field of the mind/body/spirit complex which is to be healed. This entity requesting such healing will then open the armor of the overall violet/red-ray protective vibratory shield.

Thus the inner vibratory fields, from center to center in mind, body, and spirit, may be interrupted and adjusted momentarily, thus offering the one to be healed the opportunity to choose a less distorted inner complex of energy fields and vibratory relationships.

— Healing as acceptance and forgiveness

Healing is a process of acceptance, forgiveness, and, if possible, restitution.

— Healing is but one distortion

It is to be once again iterated that healing is but one distortion of the Law of One. To reach an undistorted understanding of that law, it is not necessary to heal or, indeed, to show any manifestation but only to exercise the disciplines of understanding.

In Ra's words — Love and the Open Heart

The purpose of incarnation, Ra says plainly, is to learn the ways of love — and that learning is seated in the green ray, the heart center, the point from which a third-density being may springboard toward infinite intelligence (, ). These passages gather the heart teaching: what the green ray is and how it is blocked, the turn from receiving to giving, love as the balanced response even to attack, and the way the veil made green-ray love harder but far more powerful. They close with Ra's own hard-won refinement — that unrelieved compassion is folly seen through the eyes of wisdom, and that love must in time be tempered by wisdom without ever ceasing to feed the hungry (, ).

The passages

— Why we are here

The purpose of incarnation in third density is to learn the Ways of Love.

— The heart center

The center of heart, or green ray, is the center from which third-density beings may springboard, shall we say, towards infinite intelligence. Blockages in this area may manifest as difficulties in expressing what you may call universal love, or compassion.

— From compassion to radiation

Green ray is the movement through various experiences of energy exchanges having to do with compassion and all-forgiving love to the primary blue ray, which is the first ray of radiation of self regardless of any actions from another.

— The great turning point

With the green-ray transfer of energy you now come to the great turning point sexually as well as in each other mode of experience. The green ray may then be turned outward, the entity then giving rather than receiving. The first giving beyond green ray is the giving of acceptance, or freedom, thus allowing the recipient of blue-ray energy transfer the opportunity for a feeling of being accepted, thus freeing that other-self to express itself to the giver of this ray.

— The response is love

The response is love.

— Distilling the love within

The proper role of the entity is, in this density, to experience all things desired, to then analyze, understand, and accept these experiences, distilling from them the love/light within them.

It must instead be understood and accepted. This takes patience and experience which can be analyzed with care, with compassion for self and for other-self.

— Green ray before the veil

The awareness of all as Creator is that which opens the green energy center. Thusly there was no possibility of blockage due to the sure knowledge of each by each that each was the Creator. The transfers were weak due to the ease with which such transfers could take place between any two polarized entities during sexual intercourse.

— Green ray after the veil

After the veiling process it became infinitely more difficult to achieve green-ray energy transfer due to the great areas of mystery and unknowing concerning the body complex and its manifestations. However, also due to the great shadowing of the manifestations of the body from the conscious mind complex, when such energy transfer was experienced it was likelier to provide catalyst which caused a bonding of self with other-self in a properly polarized configuration.

From this point it was far more likely that higher energy transfers would be sought by this mated pair of mind/body/spirit complexes, thus allowing the Creator to know Itself with great beauty, solemnity, and wonder.

— Compassion tempered by wisdom

The fourth density, as we have said, abounds in compassion. This compassion is folly when seen through the eyes of wisdom. It is the salvation of third density but creates a mismatch in the ultimate balance of the entity.

We spent much time/space in contemplation of those ways of the Creator which imbue love with wisdom.

— Feed the hungry, then refine

To a mind/body/spirit complex which is starving, the appropriate response is the feeding of the body.

On the other hand, however, you are correct in your assumption that the green-ray response is not as refined as that which has been imbued with wisdom. This wisdom enables the entity to appreciate its contributions to the planetary consciousness by the quality of its being, without regard to activity or behavior which expects results upon visible planes.
