Ra gives this card one exchange: the questioner's reading is confirmed, then quietly broadened before the answer is done.

The concept

The body cycle is the second of the tarot's three sevens, cards eight through fourteen (77.12). The Transformation of the Body sits sixth in it, following the Significator and preceding the Great Way. Asked to confirm that the card is called Death because the body, at physical death, is transformed to a higher-vibration body for further learning, Ra affirms it outright (81.13). But the same answer does not stop at confirming the premise — it adds a further correctness, offered before it was asked for: each moment, and certainly each day of the incarnation, offers death and rebirth to whoever is working with the catalyst it brings (81.13). Physical death is real, and Ra affirms it as read; the answer simply refuses to let the card's meaning stop there.

That widening fits the shape Ra gives the body cycle elsewhere. The body's Matrix is unrestricted motion (79.20), always active with no means of being inactive (78.11). Unlike the mind's, this is a cycle with no still point waiting to be dipped into. Its Catalyst, the Wheel of Fortune, supplies outside stimulus without preference for welcome or unwelcome (81.11), and its Experience takes what that stimulus becomes and turns it into seed for further growth (81.12). A cycle built on continuous motion has no need to wait for a single terminal event to do its transforming; the turnover the card names keeps the same pace the body already keeps.

Working with the archetype

Read this way, the card sets a practical bar rather than a doctrine about the afterlife. Each moment, and certainly each day, offers its own death and rebirth to whoever is working with the catalyst it brings (81.13). The reckoning, read this way, is daily rather than saved for the end. Ra's general method for the archetypes, studied singly and then paired with attention to the polarity each carries (89.19), still applies: the Great Way that follows confirms the body, in every one of its archetypes, as a mirror of the mind's thrust — the instrument through which mind's and spirit's fruits are manifested (81.14).

In Ra's words

The Catalyst of the Body's outside stimulus, offering welcome and unwelcome experience without preference:

This may be seen to be a roughly correct statement in that each catalyst is dealing with the nature of those experiences entering the energy web and vibratory perceptions of the mind/body/spirit complex.

The most carefully noted addition would be that the outside stimulus of the Wheel of Fortune is that which offers both positive and negative experience.

The Great Way of the Body, confirmed as a mirror of the mind's thrust — the body as instrument, the athanor of manifestation:

This is less than completely correct as the Great Way of the Body must be seen, as are all the archetypes of the body, to be a mirror image of the thrust of the activity of the mind.

The body is the creature of the mind and is the instrument of manifestation for the fruits of mind and spirit. Therefore, you may see the body as providing the athanor through which the alchemist manifests gold.

Ra's general method for the archetypes, applied to a station built on daily rather than singular transformation:

The clothing one’s self within the archetype is an advanced practice of the adept which has long studied this archetypical system.

The concept complexes which together are intended to represent the architecture of a significant and rich portion of the mind are intended to be studied as individual concept complexes—as Matrix, Potentiator, etc.—in viewing mind/body/spirit connections; and in pairs with some concentration upon the polarity of the male and the female.

If these are studied there comes the moment when the deep threnodies and joyful ditties of the deep mind can successfully be brought forward to intensify, articulate, and heighten some aspect of the magical personality.
