What Catalyst stores, what it sends elsewhere, and what it does not collect at all.

Catalyst has no accounts, no sign-in, and no advertising. There is nothing here to log
in to and no profile of you to build. This page states plainly what the site does with
what passes through it.

## What stays in your browser

Everything you accumulate by reading stays on your device, in your browser's local
storage, and is never sent anywhere:

- passages you save, and answers you save
- inquiries you have opened on a passage, and the turns inside them
- where you stopped reading, so the homepage can offer to continue
- the archetype card you have drawn today

Clearing your browser's site data for ra.contact erases all of it. There is no copy on
a server, which also means there is nothing to restore if you clear it, and nothing that
follows you to another device.

## What reaches a server

**Questions.** When you ask a question — on the homepage, in search, or in an inquiry on
a passage — the text of that question is sent to Catalyst's server, which searches the
corpus and passes the question and the retrieved passages to Anthropic's API to compose
an answer with citations. Questions are not written to any database or log we keep. Your
IP address is held in memory for about a minute to rate-limit abuse, and is not stored.

**Notifications.** If you turn on the daily notification, your browser hands us a push
subscription — an endpoint URL issued by your browser vendor's push service, plus the
keys needed to encrypt a message to it. That subscription is stored so the daily job can
send to it, and is deleted when you turn notifications off or when the push service
reports the subscription as gone. It carries no name, email, or address, and is used for
nothing but the daily passage.

**Analytics.** Page views and a small set of named interactions (a passage saved, a
search run, the theme toggled) are counted through Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no
cookies and builds no cross-site profile; what comes back is aggregate counts, used to
see which parts of the edition are read.

## What is not collected

No cookies are set. There are no third-party trackers, no advertising networks, no
social embeds, and no fingerprinting. Nothing collected here is sold, rented, or shared
with anyone, and there is no mailing list.

## Hosting and the text itself

The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers necessarily see the requests they serve.
The transcripts themselves are *The Ra Contact: Teaching the Law of One*, © L/L Research,
reproduced under their free-distribution terms — see [/about](https://ra.contact/about) for how the
material is credited and what part of this edition is ours.

If this page and the site ever disagree, the site is the bug. It was last revised on the
date above.
