A mind/body complex — aware of growth, turning toward the light — awakens a further capacity: the spirit complex, that faculty which intensifies the upward spiraling toward the love and light of the Infinite Creator (30.5). Ra notes the addition is apparent rather than real, the spirit having existed potentially since the beginning of space/time; what changes at third density is that it begins to function as an active faculty. The spirit occupies a distinct position within the whole complex. Catalyst processed by the body is catalyst for the body, by the mind for the mind, by the spirit for the spirit — though a complex may use any catalyst that comes before its notice in its own unique way (93.12). In the work of healing and adepthood, the spirit is the channel that links individual will upward to intelligent infinity and receives the creative fire downward. When body and mind are receptive, the spirit becomes a functioning shuttle between the entity's individual will and the creative fire streaming from intelligent infinity (6.1). At the third eye, or indigo-ray center, spirit-complex work becomes most decisive: Ra calls indigo-ray balancing quite central to the work revolving around the spirit complex, with its influx into the transformation from third density to fourth — the center receiving the least distorted outpourings of love/light, with the potential key to the gateway of intelligent infinity (15.12). The wanderer's spirit complex carries, even through the forgetting, a faint bias toward the light — not understanding, but an "armor of light" that may allow it to recognize what is discordant more readily than a native third-density entity (16.59). ## In Ra's words The spirit awakens in second density as the entity turns toward the light, completing the complex: > We ask you to consider that you are attempting to trace evolution.
