# Incarnation *Canonical page: https://ra.contact/concepts/incarnation* *Last updated: 2026-06-25* *A single lifetime of a mind/body/spirit complex within space/time, undertaken to gather catalyst and polarize.* ## What Ra means An incarnation is one pass through space/time, whose spatial orientation of material, Ra says, causes a tangible framework for illusion — afterward reviewed and re-reviewed from the intangible fluidity of time/space (71.6). The incarnation does not arise randomly: before entering, the entity programs its lessons and certain predisposing limitations with the Higher Self, while leaving the specific choices entirely to free will (36.7). The Higher Self knows the destination; the entity must find the road. Each incarnation is followed by a period in time/space — the metaphysical complement of space/time — where the entity reviews and heals what it experienced. This review involves seeing the entire experience clearly, holding it against the total backdrop of the entity's history, forgiving the self for missed guideposts, and then assessing what comes next (71.6). In the early part of third density this review is brief and the next incarnation follows quickly; as the energy centers develop, the between-life period lengthens to allow deeper healing (21.9). The programming of a given life can include agreements with other entities, specific circumstances, and the inherited momentum of karmic patterns from prior incarnations (50.5, 34.17). An incarnation also serves a larger purpose in Ra's framework: it is the Creator knowing itself through a particular slice of experience, which is why each one ends with an assessment of what was gained and what remains unresolved (82.25). ## In Ra's words Before incarnation the entity dwells in time/space, then enters with its energy centers potentiated — what the process looks like from the Higher Self's perspective: > The entity, before incarnation, dwells in the appropriate, shall we say, place in time/space. The true-color type of this location will be dependent upon the entity’s needs. Those entities, for instance, which, being wanderers, have the green, blue, or indigo true-color core of mind/body/spirit complex will have rested therein. > > Entrance into incarnation requires the investment, or activation, of the indigo-ray, or etheric body, for this is the form maker. The young, or small, physical mind/body/spirit complex has the seven energy centers potentiated before the birthing process. There are also analogs in time/space of these energy centers corresponding to the seven energy centers in each of the seven true-color densities. Thus in the microcosm exists all the experience that is prepared.
