# Fourth density *Canonical page: https://ra.contact/concepts/fourth-density* *Last updated: 2026-06-25* *The density of love and understanding, entered after a positive or negative harvest from third density; where social memory complexes properly form.* ## What Ra means Fourth density follows third as the density of love and understanding. Ra acknowledges the difficulty of describing it in third-density terms: there are no words that positively capture fourth density, only statements of what it is not and approximations of what it is — not of heavy chemical bodies, not of disharmony within self or among peoples, a place where disharmony cannot be caused in any way (16.50). What can be said is that it is a plane of compassion, of awareness of other-selves' thoughts and vibrations, and of striving toward wisdom. The veil that defines third density falls away. Thought and disharmony become transparent rather than hidden, which enables what Ra calls a properly fourth-density phenomenon: the social memory complex, in which all experience of each entity becomes available to the whole (38.7, 47.2). Fourth density is also far longer than third. Ra speaks from experience of how the compassion characteristic of fourth density — intense enough to tend toward martyrdom — eventually requires the corrective of fifth-density wisdom (42.6). Both positive and negative polarities can reach fourth density: its greater density makes the true vibrations of the mind/body/spirit complex far harder to hide, enabling either polarity to form its social memory complex (66.30). Earth is presently transitioning, with a fourth-density sphere already forming alongside the third (63.8). ## In Ra's words What fourth density is not, and the closest approximations of what it is: > That which fourth density is not: it is not of words, unless chosen.
