# Evolution *Canonical page: https://ra.contact/concepts/evolution* *Last updated: 2026-06-25* *The growth of a mind/body/spirit complex through the densities — driven not mechanically but by will and faith, as catalyst is met, used, and balanced.* ## What Ra means Ra is careful to separate its picture of evolution from any mechanical or automatic model. The Logos lays out the available potentials, but the entity's own will is the single measure of the rate and fastidiousness of activation and balancing across the energy centers (41.18). Evolution is not something that happens to an entity; it is what an entity does with its experience. Catalyst — everything that comes before the entity to be processed and used — is the engine of this movement, but catalyst alone accomplishes nothing unless met by will and faith (54.24). This is why catalyst is not random. Before incarnation an entity not yet consciously aware of the process of evolution has programmed for it a partially randomized system of learnings, the randomness of its potential catalyst proportional to its newness to third density (92.11). Those who are aware of the process can choose their catalyst deliberately; those who are not find themselves in a system still carefully watched over so that no entity is permanently separated from unity (50.5). The purpose Ra states plainly is evolution of mind, body, and spirit together — and without catalyst, the desire to evolve and the faith in the process do not normally arise, and evolution ceases (54.24). The heart of evolution, Ra says, is not technique. It is unity, love, light, and joy — the recognition of the Creator in and through all experience (52.11). Disciplines of the mind/body/spirit complex — balancing, meditation, service — are of far greater aid than manipulation of the external world. Wanderers may find that third-density catalyst accelerates their evolution with unusual efficiency: if the forgetting is penetrated, it polarizes the wanderer far more efficiently than the higher, more harmonious densities (36.17). ## In Ra's words The will of the entity, not any mechanism, drives the rate of evolution: > The answer is to redirect your thought processes from any mechanical view of evolution.
